Engineering Companies for North Carolina (ECNC) is a non-profit advocacy organization formed and operating under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. The purpose of the organization is:

 

• To advocate for improved infrastructure in the state of North Carolina and for stable funding sources to improve infrastructure, and to enhance the economic development of North Carolina by advocating for diversified, sustainable energy, and other policies designed to improve the economy of North Carolina.

• To promote social welfare on a nonprofit basis.

• To engage in any other lawful activity for which corporations may be organized under Chapter 55A of the General Statutes of North Carolina.
